Hi there – Elise here, reporting for duty. This summer, I am the copywriting intern for Team IDEA. It’s only fitting in a copywriting internship that I create copy. So, I will be the voice behind Team IDEA’s blog for the next few months.
Do you want to know a little bit about the woman behind the voice?
A 21-year-old college student from the other side of the lake (yes, I’m talking about Michigan), I attend Central Michigan University and am set to walk across the stage next May with a diploma saying I learned a lot about public relations and leadership.
I grew up in a really small town – we’re talking less than 4,000 people small. Unlike my peers, many of whom are now married to each other with children, I decided the small town life wasn’t for me. CMU isn’t the biggest university in the mitten, but it is by no means minuscule – We have roughly 30,000 undergraduate students.
I’ve been itching to stretch beyond midsize school life since I arrived at CMU. This desire landed me an internship in Ghana last summer and now in the Windy City.
So what’s next for this day-dreamer and inspired traveler? I might dye my hair blue. Just kidding, that would be totally unprofessional. I am, however, in the process of choosing my postgraduate plans: Peace Corps, flight attendant or big city girl. The options are bountiful.
For now, I’ll continue writing blog posts for Team IDEA.
Stay tuned for more witty posts about even more interesting topics in the future. I’ll be writing industry tips from our team, as well as featuring our amazing team members and their work. Happy reading!
